 MEET JAMIE

I was born and raised in Denver, fortunate to grow up in a household grounded in service, compassion, and commitment to community. My mother spent more than 30 years as a public school educator serving as a teacher, principal, and Director of Title I—dedicating her career to uplifting students from low-income families. My father, a recreation center director and coach, mentored countless young people, helping them recognize their potential and make positive life choices. Their example shaped my values and ignited my lifelong passion for
service.

I lead with compassion, guided by the belief that government should remove barriers, protect dignity, and create pathways for people to thrive and build self-sufficient lives. That principle has shaped every chapter of my life and career.

I moved to Aurora in 2010 and have been committed to serving community ever since. I currently represent HD41 in the Colorado House of Representatives, where I work to translate lived experience into policy that improves people’s lives. I am proud to serve as Criminal Justice Chair for the Aurora NAACP and previously served as Vice President of Colorado Black Women for Political Action, advocating for equity, civic engagement, and leadership development. I was also appointed to the Arapahoe County Justice Coordinating Committee and its Racial Equity Subcommittee.

Professionally, my career has focused on systems change in service to those most often left behind. I previously served as Program Administrator for the Denver Sheriff Department, where I led Colorado’s first jail-based voter registration and education program, ensuring that justice-involved individuals were not stripped of their voice. As Chief Operating Officer of the Colorado Children’s Campaign, I helped advance legislation that improved health, education, and economic outcomes for children and families. I also served as Chief Operating Officer of The Naloxone Project, leading efforts to expand access to lifesaving naloxone across Colorado and multiple states, reduce stigma, and prevent overdose deaths.

Today, I am the founder and CEO of Premier Senior Support, where we provide technology education, digital safety support, and fraud prevention and restoration services for older adults. This work is rooted in the belief that seniors deserve to remain independent, informed, and protected as they navigate an increasingly digital world.

In addition to leading Premier Senior Support, I also work as an operations and strategy consultant, partnering with mission-driven organizations to strengthen systems, improve accountability, and expand impact—always with a focus on serving communities and protecting those most at risk of harm or exclusion.

As a single mother, I understand firsthand the challenges of balancing work, caregiving, and financial stability. That lived experience grounds my commitment to policies that support working families through affordable healthcare, fair wages, strong worker protections, and real pathways to economic security.

I am running to continue serving because I believe House District 41, and all of Colorado, deserves leadership rooted in compassion, integrity, and accountability. My vision is a community where every voice is heard, where public policy reflects our shared humanity, and where government works in service to the people, especially those who need it most. With your support, I will continue working tirelessly to ensure our community can thrive, not just survive.
